Shellfish are one of few animals that we cook to kill rather than the other way around. Most of the time, if you want to cook and eat something, you kill it, prepare it, then put it on the grill. But if you’re preparing a fresh lobster for dinner, you’ve gotta drop that thing straight into boiling water — a big ask for an eater who’s used to getting their meat pre-packaged.

This lady is pretty squeamish about the whole thing, and so, she tries to drop a crayfish into boiling water without *really* dropping it in. As she quickly learns, this is a bad idea.
