Though mom influencer Katie Rementer may have headed to Maine’s Moosehead Lake on a family snowmobiling expedition, she inadvertently found herself in the middle of an IRL slasher flick, discovering a creepy man staring at her cabin in the middle of the night. 

In her equally viral and nightmare-inducing clip, a strange man can be seen standing in the midst of an empty field, inching closer and closer to Rementer’s vacation digs as he seemingly spied on the family.

“I’ve never felt the depths of dread like I did last night & hope I never see anything like that again,” she wrote of the incident. “Thi8s is literally what horror movies are made of.”

Yet the lurker’s slow, menacing gait was stopped dead in its tracks after authorities arrived at the scene.

While it remains unclear what happened next, someone should get Stephen King on the phone, stat.
