The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation of a near collision off the Hollywood coast of Florida. There are very strict and explicit laws around flying drones for this very reason. Even though the drone is much smaller than the Helicopter, or an airplane, they could still cause a serious problem in the event of a collision that could result in the aircraft crashing, and even death.
