If you've spent some time on the deep internet recently, you'll notice that Reddit has changed its logo. But while plenty of brands have recently rebranded themselves with minimal pushback, Reddit has a fight on its hands. There's something to be said for the old internet aesthetic, especially on a website that was a staple of those simpler times. (I'm talking about Reddit here, not eBaum's.) Reddit even allows its users the option of looking at it with its old web design, and while I think the current user interface is vastly superior, I completely understand the appeal of wanting to experience a service you like, the way you're used to using it. 

That's why the introduction of an open mouth with a black accent on Reddit's avatar is completely appalling. Considering the ability to use the old Reddit, you'd think they'd understand the draw their old look has. One meme in this gallery compares the change to the Pringles logo rebrand. Reddit is going to have to come out with some fancy new chip flavors before I learn to accept theirs.
