We all know one. That idiot who did something so monumentally stupid at work that everyone was SURE they'd be fired on the spot. Then days turn to weeks and that person is still there and it makes NO sense. I once worked with a guy who was the most conniving, condescending jerk ever. Literally spoke to everyone as if they were mentally challenged baboons who should feel lucky he's even speaking to them. I kid you not, this guy even did that to the CEO at meetings - to the point that at one telephone meeting with a client there was confusion on their end about who the boss really was! Somehow, he never seemed to ever face any consequences and I've still never figured out why (thank god I left that place though).
