Another week another round-up of news and announcements. The world moves fast and there is more news in a day than we can get to, so here are some of the bigger and better announcements from this weekend.

Ant-Man is the newest Marvel hero to be joining Fortnite, with his skin now available in the shop. Sadly, the next Ant-Man movie was delayed until 2022, but for diehard Ant-Man fans, at least they have some Fortnite content to look forward to. -

Microsoft’s purchase of Bethesda Softworks, creators of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchise, has been approved by the SEC and the European Commission, paving the way for Bethesda and parent company ZeniMax to join the Xbox team. What will come from this relationship is yet to be seen, but we will certainly have Xbox-only content from Bethesda soon enough. -

Phasmophobia, the horror title that became popular on Twitch last summer, is getting an update that somehow makes the game even scarier. The ghosts in the game are receiving an AI update that changes their behavior, making them more aggressive. -

In a recent interview, CEO of Take Two Interactive says that gamers are “ready” for a $70 price point for games. He references that the $60 price of games hasn’t changed in 15 years, but still, this is sure to rile up some gamers, especially from a studio that puts out the NBA 2K franchise. -

Two of Ghost of Tsushima’s developers, from studio Suckerpunch, have been named official tourism ambassadors of the Japanese island of Tsushima. Game director Nate Fox and creative director Jason Connell will be presented with both the awards and a letter of appreciation. -

The Division 2 is due for an update in 2021, with a re-run of Season 5 content coming. The final content updates for the game were supposed to end in December of 2020, but with a fanbase of players not going away, Ubisoft decided to continue to support the game. -

In the UK, an escaped convict was caught in public trying to buy the newest Call of Duty title, leading to his detainment by police. My suggestion to all convicts: buy games digitally. -

Remedy Studios’ next two titles for Epic Games will apparently take place in the Control universe. The company recently announced they formed a relationship with Epic Games that would see two projects coming out of the collaboration. -

Watch Dogs: Legion’s multiplayer has been delayed until March 9th. According to the dev team they caught multiple errors in the online mode before the official launch, causing the delay. -

Valheim and Loop Hero are in the two leading spots for Steam sales this week, making the top two spots owned by indie spots. Valheim is still at number one, dominating the charts as the internet's favorite game right now. -

Marvel’s Avengers has announced it will make leveling slower in a strange new announcement, along with the arrival of Hawkeye centered DLC on March 18th. The leveling changes are helping what the devs describe as pacing issues, but the changes do seem strange as adding more grinding for players is never ideal. -

Aliens: Fireteam has a new 25-minute gameplay trailer. The game looks quite polished and is a three-person co-op shooter that arrives sometime this summer. The game is the first Aliens game since Alien: Isolation in 2014. -

Although the Nintendo Switch has been a massive success, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa says he wants to avoid a “nosedive” of success by keeping the Switch fresh. This is coming off the heels of a report that a Nintendo Switch “Pro” version might be coming sometime in the near future. -

Diablo 2: Resurrected will be able to import save files from the original Diablo 2. Being able to import old files from a 20-year-old game is quite an incredible accomplishment, and if you happen to have a PC that still has files from the original, you might have other problems on your hands.
