We as a society inch ever forward in the endless fight to stop racism, sexism, homophobia, and all other forms of prejudice. The feminist movement is crucial to that fight, and without men also "advocating for women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes," we'll never get anywhere. Luckily, plenty of men are ready to fight for women... but maybe a little too hard. 

"White Knights" are men who make it their priority to let women know that they're fighting for them. Like literally fighting for them. As one satirical Stockton Times headline states; "Male feminist wondering how long he has to agree with women until he gets laid."

White knights bemoan the death of chivalry because chivalry allowed them to exchange small useless acts of kindness for other things they couldn't get without it. And once they've been passed over, their true colors shine. "I am NO LONGER a feminist ally," one fallen knight wrote on Facebook. "When a feminist is single, I get turned down and they go date a toxic male!"

So please go support the feminist movement, but do it for the right reasons, not because you think it will get you action.
