One of our highest performing interns ever -- by a mile -- was by all accounts a normal-ish dude. He showed up mostly on time, did startling little drugs in the workplace and was caught stealing coworkers' lunches less than five times. A rising star. We were all set to hire him. We gave him the good news during a stellar, energized meeting and were shaking hands on it when he suddenly disintegrated into this stack of cursed images that fluttered through the air and collected at our feet amid stunned silence.
