Neon signs are great for lighting up the night sky with your logo, and getting your advertising material noticed by every passer by. But light-up signs aren't immune to the same problem that plagues every light bulb; going dark. And when your lights make up letters, going dark can result in some uncomfortable edits. 

For example, just loosing the letter "S" on a Shell gas station sign, etc. But for the Hard Rock Cafe, keeping the "R" and loosing the "OCK" creates quite the racist implication. A personal favorite of mine has to be a sign for "Mikes Hard Lemonade."  It turns out that lemonade isn't the only thing Mike can make hard.
