Getting lucky is a great feeling, but it's nothing like realizing you dodged an almighty bullet you didn't even know was aimed at you. These 22 people took to Ask Reddit, and shared stories of times they didn't "just dodge a bullet, but evaded a full-on ballistic missile strike."

Hurricane Katrina was one of this country's worst natural disasters, and a lucky woman in this gallery came oh so close to falling victim to it, but didn't thanks to some noisy neighbors. After moving and choosing one apartment over another in 2004, the situation became so bad she went back to the first building looking for a new place. She got one, just before Katrina destroyed the old place. "I cannot over-stress how difficult my life would have been if my apartment had been damaged," she wrote.
