Funerals are finally the fun and wacky celebration they were always meant to be, at least in Ghana. The internet is flooded with some very creative coffins for those who have always wanted to decay in a husk of corn, a sneaker, or a giant fish.

Eric Adjetey Anang is Ghana’s most innovative coffin artist. He got the idea to spice up the afterlife when he heard the story of his grandfather making a palanquin for a chief who died before he could use it. The locals decided the palanquin was good enough to use as a coffin, and this gave Eric an idea that is bringing some flare to the morbid world of funerals.
