In an ever changing and consistently bizarre world, a new and absurd trend of "Glitter Balls" has recently taken the internet by storm.  This odd trend was first noticed by a groomer in North Carolina and shared in a Facebook post:

"I just thought I would let everybody know the latest creative grooming trend is glitter," the caption of their Facebook post reads. "Please know that I love doing creative grooming trends but, I will NOT be doing this. Posting for your entertainment."

Other pet owners and groomers chimed in with their own photos of their "glammed up" pets.

For those concerned about the potential hazards or health effects on the dogs, the scrotal embellishment is applied using food-grade corn syrup and a non-toxic edible glitter.

As expected, the quite bizarre decorative trend has internet user's nuts in a sling, no pun intended...
